Cyclists must have street or nonabrasive shoes that will not penetrate or damage floors in Union Station.The operator must walk the bicycle through the interior of the building to those approved destinations. The bike must be clean and the wheels free of debris. Union Station does, however, allow cyclists to transport their bicycles through Union Station to access Amtrak or for crossing the Michael R. No bicycles are allowed to be parked or stored in the interior building of Union Station.Any bicycle found secured to any object other than a bike rack is subject to removal by Union Station Security. Union Station regulations prohibit the attachment of bicycles to trees, posts, signs, stairwells, railings, or handicapped ramps on the exterior or interior areas of the property.A reserved bike rack for tenants and employees of Union Station Kansas City is located on Level B OK Street.Exterior bike racks available on the east and west sides of the main building as well as a bike rack in the Southwest parking lot.During times of peak demand, the Economy Parking lot that previously served Terminal B passengers will be used for overflow parking, with Blue Bus service to and from the new terminal. Departing passengers will use elevators, escalators, or stairs in the new terminal to access airline kiosks, check in counters, and the security screening check point. The Blue Bus will load and unload from a central location on the commercial curb (arrivals level, follow signs). Travelers can enter the lot from either the Economy Parking entrance closest to Mexico City Avenue or the entrance closest to Cookingham Drive.īlue Bus service will transfer customers from Economy Parking to and from the new terminal. Blue Buses arrive at shelters approximately every twenty minutes, twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week. The shuttle stops in the new lot will be identified as E1 though E17. The lots currently identified as A and C will be combined, as they are adjacent to each other. The Economy Parking experience will change slightly.
